Routively Privacy Notice
Effective 15 September 2026. This notice explains how personal information is handled when you use Routively, save a trip, contact support or buy a paid planning service.
Who is responsible for your information
Routively is responsible for deciding why and how Routively uses personal information for its own service operations. Routively uses third-party processors and service providers to deliver infrastructure, authentication, payment, mapping and travel-planning functions.
Privacy contact: hello@routively.com.
Information we use
Depending on the feature, Routively may use your name, email address, account identifier, destinations, dates, traveller numbers, budget, nationality, interests, accommodation preferences, trip notes, saved itineraries, support messages, device or technical information, payment status and limited transaction references.
Please do not enter passport numbers, payment card numbers, medical records, precise identity-document data or other unnecessary sensitive information into trip notes or support messages.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
Account and trip planning: account identifiers, trip details and saved itineraries are used to provide the planning service you request, save and restore trips, and deliver paid trip features. The lawful basis is performance of a contract or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
Payments, contract records and legal compliance: limited payment status, transaction references, purchase confirmations and legal acknowledgements are used to administer purchases, keep contract evidence, handle refunds or disputes and meet tax, accounting or other legal requirements. The lawful bases are performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
Support and service administration: contact details and support messages are used to answer enquiries, investigate problems and manage complaints. Depending on the request, the lawful basis is performance of a contract or our legitimate interests in operating, supporting and improving Routively.
Security, fraud prevention and reliability: limited account, device and technical information may be used to protect accounts, investigate misuse, diagnose failures and keep the service reliable. We rely on legitimate interests where those interests are necessary and are not overridden by your rights and interests, and on legal obligations where a specific obligation applies.
Optional product analytics: where Routively asks for permission before using optional analytics, the lawful basis is consent. You can withdraw that choice at any time through Cookie and storage settings.
Our legitimate interests are running a secure and reliable travel-planning service, preventing misuse, responding to support issues and understanding whether core product features work as intended. Routively does not use trip information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Browser storage, cookies and analytics
Routively uses essential browser storage for functions such as authentication, security, trip drafts, checkout recovery and remembering privacy choices. Optional product analytics are controlled through the cookie and storage settings. Routively does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural profiling.
See the Cookie and Storage Notice for the current categories and controls.
Payments
Hosted card checkout is provided by Stripe. Routively does not receive or store your full payment card number. Routively may receive limited transaction information needed to verify and support the purchase, including payment status, amount, currency, checkout reference and the email associated with the transaction.
Service providers and recipients
Personal information may be processed by service providers that support Routively, including Base44/Wix infrastructure and authentication services, Stripe for payments, mapping or place-data providers, and automated planning or data services used to produce the feature you requested. Access is limited to what is reasonably required for the relevant purpose.
When you choose a link to an airline, hotel, map, booking platform or other external provider, that provider is responsible for its own processing under its own privacy notice.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where a transfer is a restricted transfer under UK data-protection law, an appropriate UK transfer mechanism must be used. Depending on the provider and destination, this may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or approved contractual safeguards together with any required transfer assessment.
You can ask the privacy contact below for more information about the transfer mechanism or safeguards used for a material provider that handles your personal information.
Retention
Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is held. Saved trips remain associated with your account until you delete them or the account, subject to limited retention needed for security, disputes, legal obligations and system recovery. Support records are reviewed and removed when they are no longer needed. Transaction, legal-consent and accounting records may need to be retained after account deletion where they are reasonably required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling or another legal obligation.
Local trip drafts and preference records stored in your browser remain on that device until they are replaced, cleared by the application, cleared by you, or removed through relevant account-deletion or storage-cleanup functions.
Security
Routively uses application access controls, authenticated account access, provider security controls and data minimisation to reduce risk. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data incident creates a legal notification obligation, the required regulator and affected individuals will be notified in accordance with applicable law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and any relevant exemptions, you may have rights to access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure, restrict processing, receive eligible information in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Your right to object
Where Routively relies on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to that processing. Send the objection through the privacy contact below and explain, if you wish, why the processing affects you. Routively will stop the relevant processing unless there are lawful grounds to continue. If Routively ever uses personal information for direct marketing, you can object to that use at any time.
Children
Routively is a general travel-planning service and is not designed to collect personal information from children independently. Adults planning family travel should avoid entering unnecessary information about children. If Routively learns that information has been collected from a child in circumstances requiring additional consent or safeguards, appropriate action will be taken.
Changes to this notice
The notice may be updated where Routively's services, providers or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate. The current review date is 2026-09-15.
